Our borrower was purchasing a site comprising a vacant nursing home and a residential house. His institutional lender could not get comfortable with the nursing home. We stepped in and without a formal valuation provided a high LTV facility secured against the nursing home without relation to the purchase price.
Repayment was made through the sale of this residential building at FMV.
